pamelukeI've been trying to keep my fannish spaces more or less politics and social justice free lately, because it got too draining to be always on, and always fighting, but sometimes (often really, but argh), the things happen to interconnect.
I'm sure everybody has heard about Nazi Steve Rogers by now.
I'm just so enraged, I can't properly deal with it, nor express it.

I know that boycots always work best when specific, and that on the large scale of things, it won't make a difference. But still I have decided that I refuse to give Marvel any more of my money. So no more movies, nor comics (also includes X-men, because how they've been dealing with Magneto is just, YUCK)
Enough is enough. I don't have a lot of money, and I'd rather it go to companies who don't think nazism is okay and entertainment.
I don't have it in me anymore to be fannish about any of this.

Date: 2016-05-27 07:45 pm (UTC)The summary is more or less that in every X-men movie, Magneto is made into the villain, even when it makes zero sense for him to be the villain (like his joining Phoenix and willing to kill mutants etc...).
