STATION 19

Requested: Emmett/Travis

What I love about the fandom and characters: This show has everything I love! High risk situations, people trying to be good and help people, built in found family, lots of interpersonal drama but also the best friendships (Travis & Vic <3), and hot people in and out of uniform. Also, I love the earnestness and that it genuinely tries to tackle difficult subjects. I love the Station 19 ensemble as a whole, so feel free to feature anyone from the show. I am not fond of the Dean > Vic arc, and how that is currently messing up her life, so feel free to ignore that!

I love Travis with my whole heart. He’s a little broken and a lot messy, and I love what kind of complicated character his grief made him. He’s kind and good, except when he isn’t, he’s a good friend but a bad listener, he’s empathic and supportive, except when he’s obsessing, and he obsesses a lot. I love his friendship with Vic, and I love his history with Theo (I really liked what we saw of his relationship with Michael and how that friendship worked). I love that he’s a jock but also likes drag. Also, he’s so hot.

Emmett really grew on me a lot. He went through so much, in such a short time, his whole life was upended (moved out of Alicia, came out, quit his job and then covid happened in like… a 4 weeks time span) and he persisted in being kind and helping people, and finding a way to do that despite having anxiety. I like that he teased Travis from the start, and stood up to him and tried to keep him even when the situation was so messy. He was terrible at the firefighting, but once that was gone, he’s actually pretty good at people and going after what he wants.

I LOVE the mess that they are in season 3, and how obvious it is that despite everything, they just can’t resist this attraction they both have and they just keep colliding and hooking up and being not quite friends that can’t stop having friends. My favorite fanvid for them describes it as “lovers to enemies to friends to unrequited love to friends to unrequited love on the other side to lovers let's fucking goooo”, and that’s exactly how I feel about them. Anything set in this period would be great.

I also love that then they actually became friends, with Travis confiding in Emmett a bunch of times (about his dad, about his fight with Vic, about Theo) and them obviously hanging out and talking a lot. All while Travis was pining and Emmett was telling himself he was totally over Travis. And then that kiss!

I really like where they are now. They often remind me of that conversation between Diane and Andy, how love by itself is calming, and it really feels like that is where they are now, and I adore that for them. Still, we skipped the 11 months between that scorching getting together kiss and them being in a steady relationship, so anything set in this time would be amazing too. How did they get here!?!

STATION 19

What I love about the characters:
Everything I love about Emmett and Travis is written in the first section, so I’ll elaborate on my love for Michael here, and how I see the three of them together.
I really loved what we saw from Michael. He’s fun and lighthearted, affectionate and sweet. He’s very understanding and empathic (with the Nari situation), but apparently also called Travis out on his shit. I loved how entwined his life was with Theo, how deep their friendship went. He just seemed so chill and kind and Travis loving him as much as he did made total sense to me with everything we saw. I can totally believe that being in love and loved by someone like Michael changed Travis so profoundly, and that losing him did so again.

A'S PARTNER B DIED; A FOUND NEW LOVE WITH C; NOW EVERYONE IS DEAD; HOW TO BE A/B/C IN AFTERLIFE

I’m not really religious, and I don’t think Travis and Emmett are either, but I really like the idea of there being some kind of Afterlife in which the three of them end up together at some point, where they have to figure out how to be together.
It could be The Good Life inspired or SPN inspired or something completely different.
I’d really like it if it didn’t end as a V situation, but maybe started out that way hesitantly, and then Emmett and Michael also fall in love. It can be messy at first, or kind of chill from the start, because what binds them is love.
Is Travis overwhelmed because now he has two hot men who love him at once? Probably. Is Emmett anxious that he won’t live up to Michael? Probably a little. Is Michael sad that this Travis isn’t quite the Travis he loved and he wasn’t there to see those changes happen? Sure.
Characters overcoming all of these things because of love is just incredibly iddy to me.

A GATHERING OF DRAGONS - MILLA VANE

What I love about the fandom and characters: BARBARIAN ROMANCE! Dinosaurs in the background! I really like how Milla Vane (aka Meljean Brook) builds words, and this series is no exception. I like the political maneuvering, I like the wildness and the violence. I love that this is a world recovering from a terrible event. I love Marrek and Yvette and the found family around them.

Which brings me to Ardyl and Kelir. They caught my eye the moment they took someone else to their beds, and the more the love between them became clearer, the more I became invested. The mutual love and pining that isn't quite pining. DELICIOUS. I also really, really love the importance of truth and honesty in this series, because it bares so many emotions that usually stay hidden. They're just so upfront about their feelings, while at the same time also being quiet about it.

The tension between their oath and loyalty to Maddek vs. their obviously deepfelt feelings for each other, and how they navigate that by having threesomes where they don't touch is just so fucking appealing to me. For fic that gets them actually together, I like the explanation Ardyl gives in book 2, that their oath to Maddek would always trump any oaths they could make to each other, but… BUT. They love each other already! It hasn't gone away! They swore their oats together! Surely there is a way that they can be together, within their oaths and loyalty towards Maddek. It can happen on their current mission, it can happen in the far future, when the Destroyer is defeated and the world is better. Maybe one of them almost dies, maybe they all almost die, maybe they finally kiss on the final battlefield! Maybe it happens when they are older or when Maddek is no longer the Ran, when they're grey and their joints are creaky...

Let them love each other!

THE MANDALORIAN

Requested: Din Djarin/Cobb Vanth

What I love about the fandom and characters: I fell in love with The Mandalorian show pretty recently, and am kind of new to feeling fannish about Star Wars, but boy oh boy, do I have feelings. I love Din and Grogu and how his love and devotion for the kid kind of caught him by surprise, but that he would do anything for him, even divert from his Creed. He’s so stoic and badass and armored and closed of, and then so soft and gooey on the inside. I also really love that he’s not directly involved in universe changing things, he’s just trying to make a living, supporting his tribe, taking care of his foundling, trying not to die, and trying to do the right thing when he can. I love that he doesn’t really care about the big picture and the politics (and I love that he got the darksaber anyway).

My favorite episodes are the ones where he gets sidetracked a little and ends up helping the locals with a big problem, like with the krill village, or with Cobb’s village, or in the Book of Boba Fett (less of a village, but still working together with a group of people to make their life a little better). I think one of the tragedies of Din’s life is that he wants to take care of his Tribe and people, but that his position excludes him from the communal aspects of living with them and working together. Give Din (back) a tribe! Let him grow his clan of two in a clan of more!

Which brings me to Cobb. NGL he’s a super hot silver fox and that’s half of my attraction to him. Can you blame me though when his first introduction is Cobb walking cock-first into that bar, inviting Din for a drink and a shoot-out? And Din demanding he take his armor off? (Can’t blame him for that either, Cobb is even hotter without the armor.) I fell in love immediately. I love how he cares for his people, how he’s a little twitchy but not trigger happy, how he puts himself on the line for his town. I like that he’s sharp and hard lines and jokes and banter, but also doesn’t hesitate to agree to taking the kid. I loved how easily he and Din worked together.

There’s so much potential between them. The easy comradery combined with their difference in temper. Both of them having lead a rough life, but having found purpose in taking care of others. Both feeling a duty to those in their care.

Both deserving affection and someone to look after them and so many good orgasms.

In general I’m here for fic where Din has never been touched, or fic where Din occasionaly fucks around in a port. I’m very much here for Din not taking off the helmet, for him taking it of being dramatically and romantic, or him taking it off at the start. I’ve seen TBOBF so I’m good with fic taking place after that, credit scene implications included (unf yeah), or fic that takes place when they first meet.
