Yeah, I'm really bad at not binging on something when its available. I used to be bad at not finishing books in one go as well. (So many sleepless nights!)
But it's definitely a different way of consuming a canon. I noticed it with the Get Down as well. I had this idea for a synaesthesia/soulbond type of story for Dizzee/Thor, but it needed so much time to gesticulate, that by the time I felt ready enough to start writing it, the onslaught of other stuff happened and I ended up not writing it.
With Shadowhunters, I feel so comfortable and familiar with the canon, I can watch three other things, and only need a gifset to throw me back into the canon and feel ready to write again.
So I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think I might be coming back from the netflix paradigm.
